How Do You Procrastinate?

What would happen if we procrastinated to our advantage? It's something the highest version of myself has really been focusing on recently, and I thought I’d share with y'all.

How often do we put off all the things that give us instant gratification? You know, like binge watching a season of our favorite show, or scrolling social media like it’s our job and pay day is gonna be lit. How about constantly shopping for ALL THE THINGS that we just know will make our lives and ourselves feel 100% better? I can't tell you how many times I've chased the thrill of short-term pleasures over a long-term enjoyment throughout the course of my life. It's numerous, for sure.

But, it's just kind of human nature. We all do it, or I'm pretty sure we've all shelved things that would really bring value to our lives later on, and jump on the things that just make us feel good in the moment.

But what if we switched things up?

It's not a matter IF you procrastinate - but HOW you choose to do so. Just imagine what kind of results you could be getting.

What if you researched a course you wanted to take, instead of ingesting 13 episodes on Netflix, and discovered your passion?

How much better could you feel physically if you put the phone down, and decided to cook 4 or 5 whole food meals a week?

What kind of space could you free up - physically, mentally & emotionally - if you dedicated your efforts to letting go of the things that weigh you down, instead of buying your next hit of dopamine, and trying to fill the void with more "stuff"?

So, see. Procrastination CAN be useful, when we use it to our advantage. Here's to procrastinating like the higher selves we came here to be!
